10th Birthday celebration!
It is that time of the year again! The first and only Mardi Gras on the African Continent, the Pink Loerie! Yes boys, boys and wannabe boys, lipstick lesbians and all of you not afraid of homosexuals – time to let your hair down again, time to party, time to celebrate your sexuality, your sexual freedom, your culture, your constitutional right – your life!
The great Kempinski Hotels of the world will host an on-invitation-only cocktail party, the world famous Jean-Paul Gaultier will be one of the sponsors.
We will have awesome parties again, the PINK party, the traditional “gat” party and the “After Parade Party” and this year – even a few new more risqué parties (website for details), great competitions, the Mr. Mardi Gras SA, the Miss Mardi Gras SA and the Me. Mardi Gras Drag competitions, Mr. Underwear SA, the Best Costume in the parade (Zanzibar will sponsor another Pink Vuka scooter again!) and many more... The awesome DJ Sam – the Pink Loerie favorite will be playing at Zanzibar again on three nights. Other entertainment will be the SA Drag Troupe show, a live theatre performance, the fabulous Holly and the Woods and not to forget – the first ever PINK Soccer Challenge, the famous street parade and the High Heel Street Mile, and Miss Dainti Deliscia will celebrating 10 years with us! And on the art scene – Knysna Fine Art presents: Mike Vlok ceramics and DP Ferreira (Floral artist god) to well-known Vietnamese Photographer, Duy Vo Lap with cutting edge infra red erotic male photography.
Our VIP guest for 2010 will be Luiz de Barros, owner of Mamba online. Mr. Gay South Africa 2009, Charl van Den Berg will also be with us to party.
2010 will be the best and most fun Loerie ever!
