GYMNOS, The South African Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender Naturist Association was officially launched on New Year's eve. The name Gymnos is taken from the Greek word for naked. Gymnos has subsequently become affiliated to the South African Naturist Federation(SANFED).
For the first time in South African naturist history, the gay voice will be heard in matters of national naturist interest. This is especially relevant
to the drive to legalise Sandy Bay in Cape Town, and the naturist area at Umhlanga Lagoon near Durban. It is after all mostly gay people keeping these beaches "alive", and it is important that the gay voice be heard in this debate. Gymnos's influence on the board of SANFED is based on proportional
representation and therefore they need your support.
Membership is free and interested persons can request a membership application form from infodesk@4bizniz.co.za
